THE PROBLEM: Every registrar is required by ICANN (the international governing body for domain name registration) to maintain a publicly-accessible "WHOIS" database displaying all contact information for all domain names registered. This information must be accurate, or the domain name is subject to deletion by ICANN. This makes your private contact information publicly-accessible!

AN EXAMPLE OF OUR SOLUTION: Our fictional customer Jennifer Estevez of 123 Main Street, Hometown, Florida has registered a domain name called JensDomain.com, and now her personal and private contact information becomes public in the WHOIS database. Jennifer would like to hide that information to prevent receiving unwanted SPAM mail, and more importantly, to keep her name, address, and telephone numbers PRIVATE as they should be.

Jennifer considered just entering false information into the registration form to protect herself, but she wisely decided not to do so when she learned that ICANNs policy is to cancel a domain name registration if it contains any false or inaccurate information.

Jennifer chose instead to use Cheap-Domain-Names.us's proprietary PRIVATE REGISTRATION SERVICE.
